Its story

Cool red within the small sketch of Lacerta —the lizard of the northern sky— this M giant glows with the calm of stars that have already lived through much. At 451 light-years, its light set out when Cervantes was beginning the Quixote in a Spain that did not yet know what a modern novel was. It arrives now, in no hurry.
