Its story
In Andromeda, the chained princess, shines a yellow-white type-F star 153 light-years away. Its light departed in the mid-nineteenth century, when Mendel was cultivating his peas in a monastery in Brno and uncovering the laws of inheritance. Slightly hotter than the Sun, its pearly hue brushes the border between white and gold —a light glow that crossed space while genetics was quietly being born.
