Its story

70 Ceti is a pale yellow F-type star in the immense Cetus, around 261 light-years away from Earth. Its surface temperature runs near 6,500 degrees, enough to give its light a noticeably warmer white than the neighbouring A stars in the same field. Cetus stretches across the ecliptic like a vast creature, and among its darker patches this F-type shines quietly, well off the planets' track.
