Its story
16 Cephei shines some 120 light-years away within King Cepheus, the pentagonal constellation that watches over the celestial north pole across the centuries. It is a yellow-white F-type star, somewhat hotter than the Sun, set in a region crossed by the autumn Milky Way. Whoever observes it tonight receives photons that left around the start of the 20th century, near the end of the Victorian era.
