Its story

Far beyond the usual limits, in the direction of Cepheus, looms a colossal blue star at hundreds of thousands of light-years away. Its light reaches us from an era when the first modern humans had not yet walked across Africa: it travelled through galaxies and vast silences. So hot and luminous it belongs to the handful of stars able to illuminate entire volumes of the deep cosmos.
