Hot blue starIts story
In Cygnus, in the stream of the Milky Way, it burns with the most intense blue in the sky: it belongs to the very rare class O, the hottest and most energetic suns known, whose surfaces exceed 30,000 degrees. Its distance, immense, is of the order of hundreds of thousands of light-years, placing it well beyond the regions near our galactic arm. That its light is still visible after a journey of such magnitude gives some idea of the colossal energy it releases.
