Its story
66 Ceti is a yellow-white F-type star 130 light-years away, in vast Cetus, the cetacean constellation of the autumn sky. Its surface, slightly warmer than the Sun's, gives it a tempered white glow. Its light set out in the late nineteenth century —just as the Yerkes refractor was being inaugurated— and reaches us now after a silent 130-year crossing through the void.
