74 Draconis is an orange K0III giant, with a radius five and a half times the Sun's and a luminosity near eighteen times greater, at an effective temperature of 5,035 K. It sits within the circumpolar constellation of the Dragon, visible all night from northern temperate latitudes, and approaches the Sun at 14 km per second. NASA's TESS satellite has detected slow pulsations in its brightness.
