Its story
Among the long coils of the celestial Dragon glows a K-type orange giant 385 light-years away. Its light set out around 1641, when Descartes was publishing his «Meditations on First Philosophy» and modern thought was being forged around doubt. Cooler than the Sun yet far more voluminous, it is an orange flame set among the scales of the creature that encircles the northern celestial pole.
