Hot blue starIts story
A very hot blue star in Aquila, without a classical name. Its light set off 638 years ago, when Castile and Aragon were still separate kingdoms and the Battle of Aljubarrota was being fought. Of B-type and searing temperature, it far exceeds the Sun's surface heat. These stars are the heavyweights that sculpt nebulae with their radiation and die young in bright supernovae.
