Its story

Cetus, the whale, harbors countless quiet lights —among them this orange giant 359 light-years away. Its light departed around 1667, when Hooke published Micrographia and revealed to the world, for the first time, the cells of a sliver of cork seen under a microscope. While science was discovering the infinitely small, this star was already sending its greeting from the infinitely large.
