52 Cassiopeiae sits 273 light-years away in the sky's enthroned queen, drawn as a recognizable W in the north. It is a white A-type star, with its characteristic clean, hot light. Cassiopeia crosses a very dense zone of the Milky Way, full of open clusters and dust regions. A clear flame in one of the most easily identifiable constellations of the northern sky.
