Its story
In Cassiopeia, the vain queen the sky condemns to spin upside down, shines an orange star of warm, ancient light. Its light began its journey 1,066 years ago, when the Normans were preparing the conquest of England that would culminate at Hastings and the Fatimid caliphs were refounding Cairo. Cooler and broader than the Sun, its colour recalls melted amber, a slow flame that seems in no hurry at all.
