Its story
54 Draconis lies 165 light-years away, along the winding tail of the circumpolar Dragon, the constellation that never sets from northern latitudes. It is a K-type star with a warm orange tint, cooler than the Sun yet steady enough to remain visible throughout the entire night from mid-northern latitudes. One of those stars rarely called by name —and yet, it has been quietly overhead since long before Flamsteed ever catalogued it.
