Binary systemIts story
Just 80 light-years away in Cygnus, this yellow star belongs to a double system: two stars bound by their shared gravity. Its light set off around 1946, when the founding charter of the United Nations was being signed. A G-type very similar to the Sun, it has a sister invisible to the naked eye. Binary systems like this abound in the galaxy and open the door to unsuspected stellar families.
