Its story

Omicron Sagittarii shines toward the galactic center, where clouds of dust and stellar swarms gather behind the Archer. It is an orange K-type giant about 142 light-years away, an aged star that has left the main sequence and slowly inflates. Its light, crossing one of the Milky Way's densest regions, arrives serene in the skies of summer.
