Its story
ξ² Sagittarii is a yellow giant lying toward the very heart of the Milky Way, in the crowded field of Sagittarius where the Galaxy reveals its greatest stellar density. It forms an optical pair with ξ¹ Sagittarii, both visible together like a double wink near the Archer. Its golden light crossed space for centuries before reaching our telescopes.
