Its story
In Aquila, the eagle's constellation that flies over the heart of the Milky Way, it shines with the luminous white of class A stars. Its light arrived after a journey of 179 years: when it set out, in the middle of the nineteenth century, Darwin had already published «On the Origin of Species» and the world was passionately debating its implications. It is a stable star, with no variability or companion, faithful to that white tone which places it among the hottest and most elegant suns of its surroundings.
