Its story
It shines in Phoenix with the warm tones of a K-type star —the colour that evokes old copper. The light gathered now set out almost three centuries ago, when Bach served in Leipzig and the first achromatic telescopes were being tested in London. Phoenix is one of the southern constellations charted by late-Renaissance Dutch cartography and, despite its powerful name, is made of unassuming stars.
