Its story
29 Sagittarii is a K-type orange star glowing some 935 light-years away in the direction of the galactic heart. To look at it is to look, almost along the same line of sight, toward the centre of the Milky Way hidden behind thick curtains of dust. Its light, on its way since the late Romanesque era, threads through one of the densest, most star-strewn regions visible from Earth.
