Its story
In the depths of Sagittarius, where the sky grows richest in stars, shines this orange K-type giant. Its light took nearly a thousand years to reach us: it departed around the year one thousand fifty, when the Christian kingdoms of northern Iberia were beginning the great pilgrimages to Santiago de Compostela and Europe's first roads were being traced. Cooler and far more voluminous than the Sun, its orange ember blends into the stellar multitude of the galactic core.
