Its story
Upon the broad shoulder of Hercules glows a yellow G-type star, serene relative of the Sun. Its light set out almost four hundred years ago, when Galileo was aiming his spyglass at the moons of Jupiter and the sky became something one could handle. Warm and steady, it recalls a lamp hanging in the workshop of a patient astronomer. To see it is to step into the classroom where the universe ceased to be a sacred mystery and became an object of study.
