Its story
Within Ophiuchus, the serpent-bearer, glows a yellow-white F-type star whose light has been travelling for 98 years to reach us. Hotter and more luminous than the Sun, that beam set out as the Wright brothers were testing the first powered flight at Kitty Hawk. It still shines quietly among the figures of the northern summer sky, holding watch between viper and healer.
