Its story
A white A-type flame in Draco, the winding northern constellation that snakes across the sky, about 316 light years away. Its light set out around 1710, when Bach was beginning to forge the language of Baroque music and Philip V was inaugurating the Bourbon dynasty in Spain. Hotter than the Sun, its surface radiates a pure, almost icy white. It crosses the coils of Draco like a discreet, vivid flash, with the perfect clarity of young stars.
