Its story
69 Herculis shines with the clean white of an A-type star at 175 light-years, in the quieter region north of the hero's body. Hercules sprawls across a vast tract of summer sky, and this star forms part of the unobtrusive backdrop against which the famous globular cluster M13 stands out. Its light reaches us from the era when the first steam locomotives were crossing Europe.
