Its story

In the heart of Scorpius, alongside Antares and its rivals, a yellow star shines as quietly as the Sun seen from afar. Its light began its journey 108 years ago, when Europe was entering the Great War and aeroplanes were still an unsettling novelty in the skies. Warm in colour and similar in temperature to the Sun, it is the kind of star that reminds us our own, seen from another world, would also be a humble point in a foreign constellation.
