Variable star

Its story

In Draco, the long dragon that winds among the circumpolar stars of the north, it pulses with the white of class A stars, but with a brightness that is not entirely constant: it belongs to the variables. The light observed left 391 years ago, in an era when Galileo was defending his ideas about the motion of the Earth before the Inquisition. Every small oscillation of its light is a slow heartbeat of the physical processes happening inside it.
