Its story
In the small Norma, the carpenter's square of the southern sky, shines a white A-type sun whose light set out 423 years ago. When it launched into the void, Cervantes was finishing the first part of Don Quixote and telescopes did not yet exist. Hotter and more luminous than our Sun, it offers a cool, elegant white —a geometer's light that seems to honour the instrumental name of the constellation sheltering it.
