Psi-1
Its story
Psi-1 Lupi belongs to an optical pair alongside Psi-2 Lupi: two yellowish points that a sharp eye can separate on a dark night, though they do not truly share origin or motion. It is an evolved yellow giant, similar in temperature to the Sun but far larger and more luminous. From 220 light years away, it offers a portrait of what yellow stars become when they enter their maturity.
