Pi
Hot blue starIts story
Pi Lupi is a hot blue star belonging to the Scorpius–Centaurus association, the closest group of young and energetic stars to the Sun. It was born barely fifteen million years ago in the same molecular cloud as many of its bright southern neighbours, and still radiates the feverish wind of B-type stars. From 443 light years away, its blue-white blaze burns along the back of the Wolf, creature of the southern firmament.
