Its story
110 Virginis is a K-type orange giant hanging east of the great spring constellation, about 195 light-years from us. Its warm tone betrays an atmosphere cooler than the Sun, swollen after exhausting the hydrogen in its core. It marks one of the boundary lights of Virgo toward Libra —a quiet lamp in a region better known for its distant galaxies.
