Xi-1
Its story
Xi-1 Librae accompanies, with Xi-2, the two modest heads that lean out between the pans of the Scales, the late figure that Greek charts separated from the claws of the neighbouring Scorpion. A yellow type G giant some 337 light-years away, its warm, even light recalls the Sun in colour, though its swollen size belongs to a much later stage of stellar evolution. Its discreet glow asks for a clean sky, far from the urban glare.
