Bluish-white and capricious, this Virgo B-star varies in short pulses —the signature of very hot gases stirred by rapid rotation. Its glow travelled 258 years to reach us: it left when Mozart was still a child prodigy touring European courts, and it goes on crossing the silence of the void.
