What is HIP 67665

Among the Hunting Dogs of Canes Venatici beats an orange type-K giant whose light departed six hundred years ago, when Gutenberg was testing his movable type and the printing press began to multiply human knowledge. It is a variable star, its brightness pulsing calmly —broader and brighter than the Sun, dressed in the copper hue that K stars reserve for their final movements. A flame that wavers like an ancient heart.
