Its story

Deep within Centaurus flares a yellow G-type star of colossal luminosity: its light took more than three hundred and twenty-six thousand years to reach us, when the first Homo sapiens were barely emerging in southern Africa. Distant sister of the Sun, it shines with vastly greater intensity, like an enormous fire kindled at the back of time. Each flash carries the hushed breath of our own species' prehistory.
