Its story
66 Virginis is a yellow-white F-type star just 98 light-years away, one of the closest in its set within Virgo. Hotter and brighter than the Sun yet still well within the solar neighbourhood, almost any observer under dark, moonless skies can pick it out unaided. The light arriving tonight left the star around the same years when Wegener was first outlining the theory of continental drift.
