Cool red starIts story
In the Southern Cross, the southern emblem par excellence, an aged red giant shines amid the geometry of four mariners' stars. Its light began its journey 509 years ago, when Luther was nailing his theses in Wittenberg and the American continent was barely beginning to appear on European maps. Bloated and cool, its reddish tone evokes the embers of a bonfire after a long night, the sign of a star that has already given away almost all its fuel.
