Hot blue starIts story
In Centaurus, that mythical figure of the southern sky, shines a very hot and luminous blue star. Its light began the journey around 1587, the year Mary Stuart was executed in England and Philip II was preparing the Invincible Armada. Far more massive than the Sun, it radiates an intense bluish white, characteristic of stars that burn with a fast and violent fire.
