hip-58803
Its story
It dwells in Centaurus, where the Milky Way thickens toward the south. An F-type star, slightly hotter and whiter than the Sun, with a pale, almost diamond-like yellow tint. Its light took some 82 years to reach us: it set out as the Wright brothers were preparing their first powered flight at Kitty Hawk. A subtle flame from the early 20th century, still crossing space.
