Its story

Another hot blue of rich southern Centaurus, 335 light-years away. Its atmosphere runs in the tens of thousands of degrees —so different from the Sun that they could hardly recognise each other as kin. The light arriving now left when Velázquez was painting Las Meninas in the Alcázar of Madrid.
