Its story

In the body of the Centaur burns a rare white star of staggering luminosity, so far away that distance itself must be measured in eras. A class-A sun, hotter than ours and vastly brighter, it belongs to that lineage of stars that light up whole arms of the galaxy. When the light we now see set out, human history had yet to write its earliest chronicles.
