Chi
Its story
Chi Leonis is a yellow-white type-F star some 95 light-years away, set in the flank of the Lion. The constellation, among the most ancient ever recognised, was the «Great Lion» of the Babylonians and, for the Greeks, the Nemean monster defeated by Hercules. Chi Leonis holds a quiet position far from brilliant Regulus, yet it belongs to the lattice that traces out the majestic feline figure.
