Its story

In austral Carina pulses a yellow-white F-type star, only some 53 light-years away. Its light set out the year Pioneer 11 first swept past Jupiter, in 1973. Slightly hotter than the Sun, it shines with the calm of a mature body still burning hydrogen, anchored to the navigators sky of the southern hemisphere.
