Ukdah
Iot
Its story
Ukdah is an orange giant winding through Hydra, the longest constellation in the sky. Its name comes from the Arabic «al-ʿuqdah», «the knot», because it marks one of the points where the ancient celestial serpent folds upon itself. At 263 light-years, its coppery light crosses the sky with the slow patience suited to a constellation stretching across nearly a quarter of the horizon.
