Its story
In the modest constellation of Antlia, the old air pump of the southern sky, burns an orange giant of class K. Its light has crossed space for some 790 years, since the days when Marco Polo travelled the Silk Road to the court of Kublai Khan. It is an aged star, cool at the skin yet still generous in light, with an atmosphere where fragile molecules can settle.
