Its story

16 Ursae Majoris belongs to the small group of relatively nearby stars: only 64 light-years away within the familiar pattern of the Great Bear. As an F-class star, its light is white with a slight warm tinge, a touch hotter than the Sun. The radiation crossing Earth s atmosphere tonight left during the Cold War, only a few years after the first Moon landing.
