Its story
High in the Big Bear, 390 light-years away, shines a white type-A star whose light departed in the heart of the Renaissance expansion, when Iberian navigators were crossing oceans for the first time. Hotter and more luminous than the Sun, it unfolds that crystalline whiteness only type-A stars achieve. Though overlooked in a constellation dominated by famous figures, its clean, firm light contributes one of those tiny points that sustains the entire geometry of the boreal sky.
