Highly luminous starIts story
In Vela —the celestial remains of the Argo— dwells a rare yellow-white star of colossal luminosity, set at a distance that escapes the usual human measures. A class-F sun, hotter and more energetic than ours, it holds a brightness that makes it a beacon of the southern hemisphere. When the light now crossing our sky set out, no human calendar could any longer trace it.
