Hot blue starIts story
In the Stern of the ship Argo, this hot blue B-type star appears like a distant lighthouse. Its light began the journey around 1305, when Dante was writing the Divine Comedy and Christendom was debating the first Roman Jubilee. Far hotter and brighter than the Sun, its bluish surface would betray a scorching youth. It shines modestly only because seven hundred years stand between us and its blaze.
