Lam-2
Its story
Lambda-2 Sculptoris is an orange giant 339 light-years away, set within the red clump of the stellar diagram: that brief stage when helium fuses at the core of evolved stars. Twelve times the Sun's radius, fifty-seven times its light, with a surface near 4,500 kelvin. Its proper motion stands out: it advances more than a quarter of an arcsecond a year, slowly accumulating the trail of its passage through the galaxy.
